Open Microsoft Outlook 2002 (XP). Press on Tools Menu. Then press on E-mail Accounts, as shown below.

Select View or change existing e-mail accounts. Press on the Next Button undeneath.

Select mail.surfside.net, as shown below. Click on the Change Button.

Insure that your name is in the Name Area. Your email address with a @surfside.net address is in the E-mail Area. pop.surfside.net should be Incoming mail server (POP3). smtp.surfside.net should be Outgoing mail server (SMTP). Your Username should be in Account name. Your Password underneath, this is Case Sensitive. Log on using Secure Password Authentication should be Unchecked Click on the More Settings button

 

Click the Outgoing Server tab.

Ensure My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is checked Ensure Use same settings as my incoming mail server is marked Click OK

 

Click Next

 

Your finished! All settings are correct.
